Calista was part of Student Council in high school.
Her dog Webster was rescued from a dumpster and was found by
Calista's roommate in college. Calista took care of the dog
for a weekend and immediately fell in love with him.
Calista's parents always supported her in her desire to be an
actress. Even when her friends were encouranging her to change
professions, her parents never did.
On December 13, 2000, Calista collapsed on the set of 'Ally McBeal'.
It was announced she suffered from dehydration and exhaustion.
Calista adopted a baby boy she named Liam on New Year's Eve in
San Diego.
Calista was hesitant at first in taking the role of "Ally McBeal".
But, then she immediately fell in love with the writing and the
character.
Calista was One of People Magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People in 1998
In 10th grade, Calista punched a girl for calling her a slob. She was a
prissy girl with purple pants and purple socks and purple hairbands.
During school, people were always having trouble with her name. So she
would just say that her name was Carol or Jennifer to make life easier.
Calista was named after her great-grandmother.The name ''Calista'' means
"most beautiful" in Greek.
Calista's brother Gary is adopted. |
